Butt Welding System:Butt Fusion is a process used for joining two sections of polyethylene pipe whereby a heating plate is placed between the ends of the two sections of pipe till melting point and then the plate is removed and each section of pipe is pressed together. Advantages of this method are that the joint formed will have the same excellent UV, chemical, corrosion, build-up and crack resistance properties as the pipe and the ability to resist longitudinal loads. |

Compression or mechanical joints are a reusable connection that makes connecting polyethylene pipe quick and easy. In its simplest form, compression joining is just a matter of pushing the pipe in and tightening, allowing the benefit of reduced installation cost, quick disassembly and reassembly and easy joint pressurization.
Compression or mechanical joints are ideal for applications such as branch lines in potable water distribution and temporary water lines for construction sites and irrigation systems. Constructed of Pe or PP, compression joints exhibit excellent UV, chemical, corrosion, build-up and crack resistance, creating a tough, long lasting joint. Electro-fusion:Electro-fusion is an advanced method for joining polyethylene pipe and differs from butt welding and compression techniques in that it melts and fuses the two pipe sections together using electrical resistance. This technique is ideal for pipe to be used in pressure and other high stress situations. It maintains approximately 90% of the original pipe’s strength and polyethylene's other desirable properties such as excellent UV, chemical, corrosion, build-up and crack resistance, thus creating a tough, long lasting joint. Electrofusion can also be used to join saddles and fittings such as threaded end sections. |
L.D. Poly:Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) is a sturdy material that has excellent UV, chemical, corrosion, build-up and crack resistance. Because of these properties, LDPE creates a resilient, long lasting pipe that is ideal for above and below ground use. LD Poly is used widely in garden and orchard applications for drip, micro and undertree irrigation. M.D. Poly:Medium Density Polyethylene (MDPE) is a heavy-duty material that also possesses excellent UV, chemical, corrosion, build-up and crack resistance. Because of these properties, MDPE creates a sturdy, long lasting pipe that is ideal for above and below ground use, gas reticulation, compressed air, small diameter pipe coils, travelling irrigator systems, and water and waste reticulation applications. In fact, most applications for moving water at high or low pressures. General factors for consideration when designing and choosing MDPE piping include:
