Brands Of Pipe:

ppi-logo PPI is an Australian owned company that has been supplying polyethylene pipe since 1979. PPI Low Density Polyethylene pipe is manufactured to meet Australian standards and comes in metric and imperial sizes to suit a large range of rural, commercial, industrial and domestic applications.
Constructed of virgin Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) and black carbon, PPI low density Poly pipes are highly resistant to UV, corrosion and most chemicals.
Poly pipe inhibits the build-up of scale and deposits and exhibits excellent flow qualities, creating a tough, efficient and long lasting pipe.
vinidex-logo Vinidex has been operating in Australia since the 1960s and has built its business based on quality polyethylene and PVC piping products. The Pump House can supply Vinidex low density piping to suit a wide range of rural, commercial, industrial and domestic applications.
Vinidex black Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) pipes are constructed to meet Australian standards and feature antioxidants, stabilisers, pigments and carbon black for protection against ultra violet rays and tough Australian conditions.
philmac-logo Established in 1929, Philmac is a global leader in the design and manufacture of specialist pipe fittings and valves, providing cost-effective solutions for the transfer, control and application of water. Philmac’s products can be found in mines, on farms and rural properties, vineyards, golf courses, domestic and industrial building developments and the reticulated water supplies of towns and cities across North America and the Middle East, the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia and Africa.
Philmac developed the world’s first all-plastic compression fittings for polyethylene (PE) pipe in 1968 and its products are now viewed as the international benchmark. Awards include Australian Manufacturer of the Year, South Australian Exporter of the Year, three Australian Design Awards and numerous awards from the South Australian Centre for Manufacturing.

PVC Pipelines:

Medium Density Polyethylene (MDPE) is a heavy-duty material that also possesses excellent UV, chemical, corrosion, build-up and crack resistance. Because of these properties, MDPE creates a sturdy, long lasting pipe that is ideal for above and below ground use, gas reticulation, compressed air, small diameter pipe coils, travelling irrigator systems, and water and waste reticulation applications. In fact, most applications for moving water at high or low pressures.

General factors for consideration when designing and choosing PVC piping include:
  • Pressure and flow – taking into account surges and their frequency;
  • Temperature;
  • Loads – including earth loads, traffic loads, bending stresses, installation loads, expansion and contraction stresses etc;
  • Service life required; and
  • Safety.
